About the Venture

We are building an AI-native property management platform for short-term rentals across Europe. We operate in multiple cities and are entering our next phase of growth, backed by a Series A. We are not just scaling a business. We are shaping how a modern company is built, and the people function is central to that.

About the Role

This is not a classic HR role. We are looking for a People & Culture Partner who takes full ownership of the people function, from the day-to-day operations to the longer-term work of building a high-performing, well-run organisation. You will be the go-to person for everything people-related, a sparring partner for founders and leadership, and someone who is genuinely excited about using technology and data to do this work better. The role has real scope and real ownership.

What you’ll do

  • Own the full employee lifecycle end-to-end, ensuring smooth, compliant, and scalable people operations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all people topics, including employee relations and German labour law

  • Drive and embed a strong, authentic company culture and spar directly with founders and leadership on people strategy

  • Build and improve core people practices around performance, feedback, compensation, and benefits

  • Ensure clean and efficient HR operations, including payroll preparation, documentation, and systems (HiBob / Datev / Notion)

  • Guide and develop a junior team member

  • Use technology and data to improve how we work and challenge approaches that no longer serve us

About You

You are someone who is equally comfortable with the operational side of HR and the strategic conversations that shape how a company grows. You take ownership without needing direction, handle difficult conversations well, and have a strong instinct for what good looks like in a people function. You care about getting the details right but you do not get lost in them.

  • Solid experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner, or People Lead in a startup or scale-up environment

  • Proven ability to build and improve processes, not just maintain them

  • Strong knowledge of German labour law and confidence handling sensitive employee topics

  • Clear and direct communicator, with the ability to hold difficult conversations when needed

  • Comfortable with HR tools, data, and systems, with a practical mindset about technology

  • Fluent in German and English

Nice to have:

  • Experience scaling a people function or building structures from scratch

  • First leadership experience or clear potential to grow into a leadership role

  • Background in performance management, compensation, or organisational development

  • Experience in fast-growing or international teams
